KEENE, N.H.—The Keene State College women's cross country team placed the first five runners across the line to claim the 2015 Little East Conference Cross Country Championship at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.
It was the 16th consecutive title for the Owls.
KSC senior Kait Wheeler claimed the individual title in 18:24.5, just ahead of classmate Samantha Goldsmith, who finished second in 18:24.6.
Carli Davis finished third, with a time of 18:30.8, followed by Lindsay Szuch in 18:55.1 and Katelyn Terry in fifth in 19:25.1
Southern Maine's Brooke Davis placed sixth in 19:27.4, and Eastern Connecticut State's Samantha McKosky was seventh in 19:30.7
The top seven finishers earned All-Little East Conference honors.
The Owls took the team title with 15 points, with Southern Maine in second place with 66 points. Eastern Connecticut State (92), UMass Dartmouth (94), Plymouth State (120), Rhode Island College (144), and UMass Boston (199) rounded out the scoring.
