NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--Sophomore Katelyn Terry won the 600 meter run as the Keene State College track and field teams competed at the New England Division III Championships. The women's championship was at Smith College, while the men's was at Springfield College.
Terry won the event in 1:36.67, setting a season and personal best in the event to earn All-New England honors. The sophomore won by nearly a full second over Wesleyan's Ellie Martin. She also competed in the triple jump with a leap of 10.51 meters.
Sister Lindsey Terry also set season and personal bests in the 600, with a time of 1:39.54, as did Allison Brady, in 1:40.87.
Lauren Markoe set a season best in the 800 meters, clocking in at 2.18.81, while Kait Wheeler did the same in the mile in 5:04.20.
Lindsay Szuch set a personal and season best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:37.70,
Katelyn Terry, Wheeler, Markoe, and Brady earned All-New England honors in the 4x800 meter relay in 9:42.35, while Karissa Bergman placed eighth in the shotput to do the same with a season and personal best throw of 12.01 meters.
KSC placed 17th overall, with 14 points. MIT won the event with 151 points.
At the men's meet, Ben Keach picked up All-New England honors with a fourth place finish in the shotput, throwing 15.38 meters.
KSC finished with five points to place 23rd overall. MIT also won the men's meet with 129 points.
