Box Score

KEENE, N.H. - Tyler Reilly and Tyler McKelvie combined to score 11 goals as the Keene State College men's lacrosse team dealt Plymouth State just their second loss of the season Tuesday night at Owl Stadium. The 21-9 victory clinches the regular season title for the Owls (9-4, 6-0) and assures them home-field advantage throughout the Little East Tournament.

It's the seventh regular season championship for Keene State, adding to titles won 2005, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014.  The Owls have won tournament titles in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2014.

Ryan Hart had a tremendous game of four goals, four assists and five ground balls, while Hunter Arnold registered two goals and two ground balls. Mike Curley collected four ground balls and forced two turnovers.

Nick Morello, Aaron Boss and Colin Claflin each scored two goals for the Panthers (11-2, 5-1).

The Owls started the game off with a bang, scoring four straight over 8:29 before Mike Trocchi put an end to the KSC run at 5:44 remaining in the quarter. McKelvie notched his third tally of the opening quarter giving the home team a 5-1 edge and both teams would exchange goals to close out the period.

To open the second, a Hunter Arnold goal was answered by back-to-back scores from Morello to pull within 7-4, but the Owls would score five-straight, including two by Reilly to command a 12-4 lead. Claflin added a Panthers tally to close out the second.

Keene State pulled away in the third, holding the Panthers scoreless, while totaling seven goals from five different players.

Reilly and McKelvie tallied man-up goals to open the fourth and Plymouth State closed out the game by putting four on the board for the 21-9 final.

KSC held advantages in shots (48-40) and ground balls (47-36).

Both teams will play their final regular season game on Friday night with KSC traveling to Salem St., while Plymouth St. hosts Eastern Connecticut.
