- The Purple and White aimed to double their lead with eight minutes remaining, but Warhall asserted her dominance from the endline, as she punched the ball away from danger, as the Owls went into the half down by one.
Second Half Highlights
- Hannah Guzzi added an insurance goal early in the second half, as she collected a pass from Rubii Tamen in the 50th minute and defeated Warhall one-on-one to bring the score to 2-0, Amherst.
- In the 69th minute, McNamara netted her second goal of the game off a header from a feed by Sloan Askins.
- Morgan Kathan had an opportunity to steal the shutout from Amherst in the 76th minute, but her header bounced off the post.
