AMHERST, Mass. - Although Danielle Warhall put forth a strong defensive effort posting nine saves, the Keene State women's soccer program fell in a non-conference game against Amherst, 3-0, at Hitchcock Field on Tuesday afternoon.

Tale of the Tape 

• Keene State held the advantage in shots over Amherst 10-5 in the second half, but the Purple & White produced an overall 20-18 margin over the Owls. 
• Keene State edged Amherst 4-3 in corner kicks. 
• Warhall posted nine saves over the 90 minutes, which ties her season high, as Chelsea Cutler stopped seven on frame from the Owls. 

First Half Highlights 

• Amherst took an early lead, as Maeve McNamara one-touched a shot into the top corner, off a pass from Emily Hester. 
• Keene State had a chance to equalize two minutes later, but Taylor Farland's opporunity went just wide. 
• The Purple and White aimed to double their lead with eight minutes remaining, but Warhall asserted her dominance from the endline, as she punched the ball away from danger, as the Owls went into the half down by one. 

Second Half Highlights 

• Hannah Guzzi added an insurance goal early in the second half, as she collected a pass from Rubii Tamen in the 50th minute and defeated Warhall one-on-one to bring the score to 2-0, Amherst. 
• In the 69th minute, McNamara netted her second goal of the game off a header from a feed by Sloan Askins. 
• Morgan Kathan had an opportunity to steal the shutout from Amherst in the 76th minute, but her header bounced off the post.
