NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Keene State College men's and women's cross country teams both finished 11th in their respective races at the Connecticut College Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park on Saturday.

• The Owls will be defending their Little East Conference championships at UMass Dartmouth on October 29.   The KSC women have won 16 straight titles, while the Owl men have won four in a row.

Women's Race

• Senior Lindsay Szuch was the Owls' top finisher, placing 18th out of 259 runners on the 6K course in 22:30.
• Katelyn Terry was next, covering the course in 23:30.7 for 53rd place, followed by Alyssa Lombardi (82nd, 24:02), and Rachel Klaski (91st, 24:13.7).
• Lindsey Terry (25:01.2), Lauren Perkowski (25:08.3), Katharine Lynch (25:22.3), Alana Olendorf (25:30.8), Aimee Krafft (26:01), Emily Jarka (26:11.8), Kelsey Sheehan (26:42), and Audrey Boraski (27:56.1) finished off the Owl runners.
• Tufts took the team title, with Middlebury's Abigail Nadler winning the individual race in 21:24.5.

Men's Race

• Philip Parent ran the 8K course in 25:51.5, good for 36th place, with Iid Sheikh-Yusuf in 57th in 26:27.8.
• Ian Connell was 95th overall in 27:08.1, after which came Ben MacDonald (27:24), Matt Dudley (27:36.6), Gavin Thomas (27:49.6), and Tyler DeChane (28:00.8).
• James Stergis-Cox (29:36.1) and Tristram Patoine (30:06.8) rounded out the Owl contingent.
• Tim Nichols of Tufts took the individual race in 24:11.1, with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps winning the team race.
