DARTMOUTH, Mass.—The Keene State College women's cross country team opened its 2017 campaign at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning. The Owls posted a 14th place finish out of 40 scoring teams.
Senior Kate Lynch paced the Owls with a 43rd place finish, crossing the line in 19:35.6 for the 5K course. The second Keene State runner was freshman Caroline Sarro who had an impressive debut placing 51st with a time of 19:44.1. Freshman Christina Martin (119th, 20:39.9) was up next for the Owls, and was followed closely by junior Alana Olendorf (143rd, 20:46.7) and freshman Laura Dawson (145th, 20:47.8).
The Keene State women's team will be back in action at the Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday, September 30 at 11 am for its annual Cross Country Invitational.
