How It Happened
The game took a while to get going, but roared into life over the final 15 minutes of action in regulation, as Michelle Belcher's attempt at a regulation winner was turned aside by KSC goalie
Abbie Terrinca.
Both teams had chances to win it in the first overtime, as
Amanda Marshall's chance with less than three minutes to go was snuffed by BSU goalie Tory Viola-Laughery, who clawed the ball back from behind her to keep it from rolling into the net.  20 seconds later, Bridgewater State had a golden chance, as Belcher's shot cannoned back off the post to keep the game scoreless.
Heading into the second overtime, the Bears had the first chance, but Terrinca made the save, and at the other end of the field,
Amanda Marshall worked a perfect combination pass with
Maya Baker, whose layoff right into the juniors' feet allowed her to race past the last BSU defender and chip the ball over Viola-Laughery.  Terrinca finished with five saves in the KSC net, while Viola-Laughery made three stops.
