Men’s Lacrosse Concludes Spring Break Trip With Loss to Nazareth

TAMPA, FLA. -- Freshman Giacomo Tedone netted his first career goal as the Keene State College men's lacrosse team fell 22-8 to Nazareth College on Saturday at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex.

How It Happened 

The Golden Flyers found the back of the net within the first two minutes of the game with an unassisted goal by Brett Randall. The Owls answered just 15 seconds later with Tedone's first career goal set up by Colby Quiet. Keene State saw their only lead with an unassisted goal by Nathan Sickles. Nazareth put four goals past Keene State goalkeeper Chase Chamberlin. Sickles concluded the scoring in the first quarter with an unassisted goal, as the Golden Flyers led 5-3. 

Nazareth found their momentum in the second quarter, scoring nine goals to cushion their lead. Quiet netted Keene State's only goal in the period to make it 14-4. 

The Owls attempted to close the gap with a goal by Joe Nutting assisted by Quiet at the start of the third quarter. The Golden Flyers continued to pull away, scoring seven more goals. Keene State took advantage of a man up situation as Cooper Cioffi found the back of the net with less than two minutes to go in the period. Nazareth responded with a goal to conclude their scoring.  

Keene State would tally the only two goals in the fourth quarter with goals by Cioffi and Sickles to finish 22-8. Goalkeeper Charlie Giuliotti would make two saves for the Owls in the final period.  

Inside the Crease 

  • Tedone netted his first career goal for Keene State. 
  • Senior goalie Chamberlin made 13 saves for the Owls.
