MANSFIELD, CONN. -- Junior Cooper Cioffi led the scoring with four goals for the Keene State Men's Lacrosse team in a dominating win over Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon at Rick McCarthy Field.

How It Happened
The Keene State Owls scored an impressive 14 goals before the Warriors could get on the scoreboard in the third quarter. Cioffi netted a goal in the first 14 seconds of the match assisted by freshman Rex Maccarini. Cioffi scored three more goals, while Maccarini, Colby Quiet, and Joe Nutting each netted a hat trick for the Keene State. Ben Wright scored a pair of goals, Nathan Sickles and Giacomo Tedone each tallied one goal for the Owls. The Warriors broke through in the third quarter, putting two goals past Keene State goalkeeper Chase Chamberlin. Nutting assisted eight of the 16 goals and concluded the scoring for the Owls for a 16-2 victory.
Chamberlin made seven saves for the Owls. Keene State goalkeeper Baylor Bridges recorded two saves for the Owls in the final period.
Inside the Crease
- Nutting tied the record for single game record for assists. The current record of eight assists in a single game is held by Dave Wiedenfeld in 2019.
- The Owls outshot the Warriors 41-22.
