KEENE, N.H. -- Junior Cooper Cioffi led the scoring with eight goals as the Keene State College men's lacrosse team cruised to victory over New England College Tuesday night at the Owl Athletic Complex. The conquest notched head coach Mark Theriault's 250th career win for the Owls.

How It Happened
The Owls scored in the first two minutes of the match and never looked back as Colby Quiet netted the first goal of the game. Cioffi scored a pair of goals with assists by Nathan Sickles and Quiet. The Pilgrims got on the board with four minutes remaining as the Owls lead 3-1 after the first.
Keene State came out with an offensive attack in the second period, scoring seven unanswered goals to pull away from New England. Sickles found the back of the net just under a minute into the period. Cioffi netted a hat trick while Quiet scored two goals for the Owls. Freshman Rex Maccarini scored one for Keene State in the period to lead 10-1.
The Owls continued their run into the second half with Cioffi adding a pair of unassisted goals. Maccarini and Sickles each netted their second goals of the game. The Pilgrims got one goal past Keene State goalie Chase Chamberlin in the quarter. The Owls lead 14-1.
The Owls started the fourth quarter the same way they started the game, as Quiet netted his final goal of the game. Cioffi set up Garrett Fleury before netting his eighth goal for the Owls. The Pilgrims saw their opportunity, going goal for goal with the Owls with ten minutes remaining. Maccarini answered with a goal assisted by Cioffi. Fleury concluded the scoring for the Owls with a pair of goals in the final minutes. Keene State Charlie Giuliotti saw 15 minutes of action between the posts with a final score 20-5.
