KEENE, N.H. – In its first Little East Conference match of the 2022 season, the Keene State College men's soccer team was defeated by Western Connecticut State University 6-0 Saturday at Dr. Ron Butcher Field.

How it Happened
WestConn opened the scoring at 16:23 when junior midfielder Kent Eannarino passed the ball to junior forward Franz Muhaj, who scored his second goal of the season to put the Wolves ahead 1-0. Then at 23:43, senior midfielder Payton Blynn sent a free kick from near midfield that made it into the back of the net. WestConn entered halftime up 2-0.
The Wolves continued scoring in the second half. After Eannarino drew a foul in the box, freshman forward Erik Lorent made the penalty kick to extend the lead to 3-0 at 48:48. Muhaj added his second goal of the day at 61:46 with another assist by Eannarino. The Wolves finished the day with goals by Eannarino at 64:03 and sophomore forward Jordan Dacosta at 71:47.

Keene State hosts Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at Dr. Ron Butcher Field on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. WestConn will play at Eastern Connecticut State University on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
