- Framingham State: 1-8, 1-2 MASCAC
How it Happened
The Owls would strike early on, just over five minutes into the game, as
Bryn Dickinson would assist
Elizabeth Kopicko for the Owls' goal. Keene State would continue to pressure Rams' goalie, Jetta Oskirko, as they would get four shots off, three of them being on net, over the next 12 minutes, that Oskirko would need to save. Over the rest of the quarter, neither team would score, although Keene State would get nine more shots off, four of which Oskirko would make saves on and the others would be blocked or go wide of the net. The Rams would get only one shot off in the first, from Hailey Baker, but it would go wide of the net, making the score 1-0 heading into halftime.
Framingham State would make a change at goalie, as Regan Fein would start the second half off in net for the Rams. The Owls would attack early in the second, taking seven shots in the first 15 minutes of play in the half, as Fein would need to make three saves on the shots that were on net. After four more saves from Fein and a Rams' shot that went wide from Tarynn Smith, freshman
Elizabeth Tschudin would net her first career collegiate goal, in the 73rd minute, coming off an assist from
Joclynn Tyler. The Owls would continue to apply the pressure over the next few minutes, but their three shots would be off target, until just six minutes after Tschudin's goal,
Katie Hattie would score her first of the season as Tyler picked up another assist. Not even 30 seconds later,
Emily O'Connell would pick up a point in her third straight game, as she assisted
Isabella Moran for her first career collegiate goal, putting the Owls up 4-0. Neither team would score the rest of the way as Fein would make two more saves in net, resulting in a 4-0 Owls victory.
After today's win, Keene State Head Coach
Sarah Testo was happy with her team's win, although there was some room for improvement, "Was a good team win. It was a slow start; we need to put two solid halves together moving forward."
