KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College men's soccer team hosted Williams College for the Owls' final regular season home game of the 2024 season at Dr. Ron Butcher Field on Monday night. In a game where Owls' goalkeeper,
Eldin Husanovic, tied his career-high of eight saves in goal, it was not enough for the Owls, as their attack was unable to get it going and the Ephs snuck a pair of shots into the back of the net to pick up the 2-0 win over KSC.

How It Happened
Williams, the number 22 ranked team in the country coming into the day, was on the attack early on in the contest, but Husanovic saved a pair of shots in the opening seven minutes to keep the contest scoreless early on. After
Cristian Correa's shot for the Owls went wide of the net, shortly after, Ben Brown netted his first career collegiate goal for the Ephs, as he put Williams up, 1-0, in the 23rd minute. Through the rest of the opening half, neither team recorded a shot on goal, as
Ali Alzawar's shot for the Owls was blocked, and his teammate
Brandon Comire saw his shot go wide of the net as Williams took a 1-0 lead into the halftime.
Williams got on the board very quickly in the second half, as Tate Michelson sent a corner kick into the Owls' box and Lorcan Mitchell rocketed it into the back of the net to give the Ephs a 2-0 lead, 2:44 into the half. Williams tried to increase their lead over the next 12 minutes as they took seven shots, but Husanovic made four saves, while a pair of shots went wide, and the remaining shot was blocked by the Owls' defense to limit the lead to two for the Ephs. As Williams continued to sub a large number of their athletes in and out, both teams traded possessions back-and-forth across the next 18 minutes. The next shot on goal did not come until the 72nd and 76th minutes, as Husanovic made another two saves in net for the Owls. KSC's first shot on goal in the contest came in the 79th minute, as
Stephen Kallestad tried to pull the Owls to within a goal, but Kai Darrell, who entered the game at the start of the second half, made a save to deny Kallestad. Kallestad again tried to spark a KSC comeback with less than four minutes remaining to play, but following another save on his header from Darrell, Williams would drain the clock the rest of the day and pick up the 2-0 win over KSC on the day.
