How it Happened
ECSU got on the attack early, with three corner kick attempts, but with KSC goalkeeper,
Riley Andriski, making a save in goal and the Warriors being called offsides twice, nothing came of their early offensive push over the first 15 minutes of the contest. KSC responded with their own offensive push over the next 15 minutes, but the Warriors' goalkeeper, Alex Ignatowicz, saved the Owls' three shots on goal over the span, coming from
Elizabeth Tschudin,
Joclynn Tyler, and
Katherine Burzlaff. Two minutes after Burzlaff's shot, Andriski saved the final shot on goal in the opening half, to deny Olivia Mullings. KSC had one more attempt to get on the board in the final seconds, but
Claire Halligan's shot went wide of the goal and the two teams went into halttime scoreless.
Both teams opened the second half trying to break the scoreless contest, but both goalkeepers held their ground, as Andriski saved three shots and Ignatowicz saved one over the first 16 minutes of the second half. Through the remainder of the second half, neither team was able to get their attack going, as
Bryn Dickinson got off a shot for the Owls, and Glenda Zhiminaicela took two shots for the Warriors, but all three of them missed the goal. Neither team scored the rest of the way, as both teams played a full 90 minutes in a 0-0 draw, the second of the season for the Owls.
