DANBURY, Conn. – Three student-athletes of fall teams from the Keene State College athletics department were recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) from their efforts from their fall seasons for the Owls as the ECAC announced their major awards and All-ECAC Team selections.
Grace Bazin, a senior forward from Westminster, Vermont was named the 2025 Division III field hockey Offensive Player of the Year, along with being named to the ECAC Division III Field Hockey All-ECAC Team from her record-setting season for the Owls. Bazin's selection is her second Offensive Player of the year award after she earned the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Year after dominating the LEC and earning seven of the possible 10 Offensive Player of the Week selections. Across her 22 games started on the season, Bazin led all of the NCAA in points, with 83, and goals, with 37, to go with her nine assists. Her 37 goals were the program record in a single season for the Owls, while her 83 points were the second-most in a season for KSC. Bazin helped lead the Owls to their 16th LEC championship by scoring seven game-winning goals across the season, tied for the third most in a season in program history.
Grace Murphy, a senior from New Boston, New Hampshire, was also named to the ECAC Division III Field Hockey All-ECAC Team from her performance on defense for KSC over her senior season. Murphy joins Bazin on the All-ECAC Team as the pair also were selected to the First Team All-LEC. Murphy locked down opposing offenses over the season as she helped the Owls' defense limit opposing attacks to two goals per game and 14 shots per game, compared to the Owls' 3.4 goals per game and 22 shots per game. With four defensive saves across the season, Murphy tallied a team-high, including the most in a game with three defensive saves for the Owls against Western New England University. In her senior season, Murphy also logged her first career collegiate point coming from an assist in the Owls' blowout win over Plymouth State University. Murphy finished her career as an Owl with eight defensive saves over her three years, the 11th-most in program history.
Elizabeth Tschudin, a junior midfielder from Sunapee, New Hampshire, was named to the ECAC Division III Women's Soccer All-ECAC Second Team after her breakout junior season for the Owls. Coming into the 2025 season with 19 points over her first two seasons as an Owl, Tschudin recorded 23 points from nine goals and five assists, tallying team-highs in each of the categories. Tschudin was a huge part in why the Owls had their 7-0-2 stretch over the month stretch from the end of September throughout the month of October as she tallied 17 points over the nine games from seven goals (three game-winning goals) and three assists, including a point in five-straight games where the Owls went 5-0 to round out the regular season. Tschudin tallied a team-high of four points in a game on two separate occasions, coming from a goal and pair of assists in the season-opening win for the Owls over Rivier University and a pair of goals coming in the Owls' win over Husson University.
