
WELLESLEY, Mass. – After the second day of the Little East Conference Championships, the first day at the Boston Sports Institute, the Keene State College women's swimming and diving team sits in first place with 282 points, while the men's team sits in fifth place with 159.5 points.
The Owls saw two first-place finishes on the day, one on each side, with
Rory Lee winning the 500 free, while
Aaron Turgeon won the 200 IM. Lee placed first with a time of 5:23.11, beating senior Adria Horton from the University of New England by seven seconds. Turgeon improved on his meet record of 1:59.11 from the 2024 Championships by 4.8 seconds, as he swam the 200 IM in 1:55.91 to take home first for the Owls in what the seventh-best time in the 200 IM in KSC program history.
The Owls also picked up four fourth place individual finishes on the day, with
Hannah Reddick swimming the 500 free in 5:36.61,
Adessa Noyes swimming the 100 fly in 1:04.65,
Tallulah Going swimming the 50 free in 25.88, and
Amanda Davies taking fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:23.87.
The Owls also placed fourth in two relays, with the women's 200 free relay finishing with a time of 1:43.97 and on the men's side, the Owls finished fourth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:46.02.
Day three of four continues Saturday with preliminary rounds set for 10 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m.
