Just over a minute after Davis' goal,
Edoardo Tambini tried to pull the Owls within one, but Trey Sheppard saved the first shot of the day that he faced for the Mammoths, while AC's next three shots missed the target and the contest went into the half with Amherst ahead 2-0.
Amherst opened the scoring early in the second half, netting a goal in the 54th minute as Mohammed Nuhu put the Mammoths ahead by three. Farre saved the next three shots of the 10 total that the Mammoths took over the following 30 minutes before Amherst struck again late in the contest with Lucas Searl netting the final goal of the contest to defeat KSC, 4-0.
