How it Happened
Trinity opened the scoring very quickly in the contest as Michaela DiCiccio made the initial save on Caroline Kelleher, but the rebound fell right to Iva Carton for the opening goal 1:14 into the contest. The Bantams had another few chances 17 minutes later, but DiCiccio made a save and the Owls' defense blocked the two follow-up chances, leading to KSC's goal on the other side of the field. The Owls flipped the field quick as
Elise Saab sent a pass ahead to
Elizabeth Tschudin and Tschudin did what she typically does by firing a shot from outside the Bantams' box and into the back of the net to tie the contest up at 1-1. The rest of the opening half DiCiccio held strong for the Owls as she made four more saves in net, keeping the contest tied 1-1 heading into the half.
Both teams traded shots over the first 15 minutes of the second half with DiCiccio saving both of the Bantams' shots on goal of their four shots over the span, while Zoe Tamborello saved the one of three shots that was on goal from the Owls. After DiCiccio made another save later in the 77th minute, she made three more saves over the final seven minutes to prevent Trinity from finding the back of the net again, while Tamborello saved the last shot from KSC she saw in goal as the two teams played to a 1-1 draw.
