KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College baseball team was well-represented when the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com each released their All-Region teams over the past several days.
The Owls had six players recognized, including senior pitcher
David Floyd, who was a first team selection by both agencies after a stellar final campaign where he struck out 42 in 38.1 innings and held opponents to a .145 average. The North Attleboro, Mass. native finished 4-0 with a 1.64 ERA overall, including a 0.89 WHIP, over nine starts, allowing just seven earned runs. The Owls were 8-1 when he started, a big reason why they shared the Little East Conference regular season title and reached the tournament's championship round for the second straight season.
Senior
Evan Cali and sophomore
Trevor Snow, KSC's two leading hitters, were each named to the second team by both the ABCA and D3baseball.com after their stellar offensive campaigns – each hitting over .375. Cali was a force behind the plate for the Owls, compiling a .385 average with a .992 OPS in 41 games (41 starts). At one point, he had a 25-game hitting streak that spanned from March 25 through May 8 that raised his average from .281 to .391. Cali also finished with 11 doubles, five triples, two home runs, and 43 RBI. The Taunton, Mass. native also stole 23 bases and became just the fourth Owl all-time in program history with at least 50 career stolen bases. Snow, often batting out of the leadoff spot, enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign, often hitting out of the leadoff spot in the order while compiling a .376 average and .981 OPS in 34 games (29 starts). He tied Cali with a team-high five triples and reached base at a .445 clip while stealing 12 bags. Snow had seven games with at least three hits and KSC finished 6-1 in those games, and also had an extra-base hit in 12 different contests.
The ABCA also named junior outfielder
Lucas Rogers, who hit .355 with a .920 OPS in 38 games (34 starts) to their All-Region II second team, while he was a third team selection by D3baseball.com. In his first full season as an Owl,
Derek Finlay hit .327 with 11 doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 36 RBI with 14 steals while compiling a .907 OPS and was named to the third team by both agencies. The ABCA also honored senior first baseman
Jonathan Chatfield with a third team selection after his senior campaign that saw him record an OPS over 1.000 (1.003) and add seven home runs and 50 RBI in 41 games. He hit .355 and also had a team-high 15 doubles.
"I am really happy for these guys to be recognized at a regional level," said KSC head coach
Justin Blood. "We have been blessed to have some talented athletes the last few years. The program has a solid foundation with individual accolades and most importantly team success. We look forward to building upon what we have accomplished the past couple years."
The Owls have enjoyed a resurgence under Blood and this graduating senior class, winning 20 or more games in three straight years for the first time since 2010 through 2012, including a 51-34 mark (26-6 LEC) the last two seasons. KSC swept the Little East Conference regular season and tournament championships in 2025 before sharing the regular season crown and reaching the tournament championship round this season.
