KEENE, N.H. – Six different goal scorers found the back of the net on Tuesday afternoon as the Keene State College men's soccer team and the University of Maine-Fort Kent tallied three goals apiece and the teams played to a 3-3 draw for KSC's second tie of the 2026 season.

How it Happened
Maine-Fort Kent outshot KSC 4-2 over the opening 15 minutes of the contest, but none of the shots from the Bengals were on target, and the two shots from KSC were saved by MFK's goalkeeper, Boliver Owusu. Owusu made another save in goal for the Bengals shortly after, but on the other side of the field over the next seven minutes the Bengals had a few chances with miscommunication between the Owls' defense leading to two opportunities and a shot from Michael German missing just inches left of the left post in the 22nd minute. Matteu Farre saved the first shot on goal that he saw in the 28th minute for the Owls and two minutes later on the other side of the field KSC found the back of the net first with
Luke Hartshorn sending a pass to
Adrian Bueno for his first career goal with his shot going through Owusu's hands for the goal. It did not take long for the Bengals to respond as just 3:08 later Javel Clarke and Christopher McKenzie picked up assists as they led passes ahead in KSC's box to Javel Barnes for the tying goal for the Bengals. The remainder of the opening half the Owls were the only team to record a shot on goal as
Dorian Wilczynski fired a shot from long range, but Owusu made a diving save to keep the shot from sneaking under the crossbar as the game moved into halftime tied at one apiece.
The first two shots in the second half for the Bengals were blocked by the Owls' defense, but their third shot of the second half found the back of the net as Rohane Brown assisted Kevaun Garwood for MFK's second goal of the day to take the lead with 34:21 remaining. This time it was the Owls that did not take long to respond as 6:04 later
Edoardo Tambini sent a ball over to
Luke Hartshorn, who crossed it one more time across the Bengals' box to
Pierpaolo Galardo for the goal to tie the game up at two with 28:25 remaining. Galardo and the Owls continued to apply the pressure on the attack over the next three minutes, but Owusu saved both shots on goal from Galardo to keep the contest knotted up at two with 25 minutes remaining. Just as Owusu did, on the other side of the field, Farre made a pair of saves over a couple minute span, but in the 74th minute, MFK found the back of the net after a penalty was called in the Owls' box and Clarke converted to put the Bengals back ahead again. The Owls' third goal was a quicker response than the first as just two minutes and 51 seconds later,
William Edmunds tied the game up for KSC on his second career goal with 13:36 remaining to play. The rest of the contest both teams had opportunities both ways, but neither team recorded a shot on goal, and the rest of the game went scoreless as the two teams played to a 3-3 draw.
Inside the Box
- KSC moves to 0-0-1 in the all-time series between the two programs.
- Farre made three saves in net for the Owls, while Owusu made six saves in net for the Bengals across the 90 minutes.
- Bueno netted his first career collegiate goal for the Owls in the contest, while Galardo scored his first goal of the season, and Edmunds scored his second game-tying goal of the season, which was also his second career collegiate goal.
- Hartshorn contributed to a pair of goals in the same game for the first time in his collegiate career as he picked up a pair of assists in the contest.
- The Bengals had the slight advantage on shots, 14-13, while KSC had the advantage on shots on goal, 9-6, but MFK had five corners to three for KSC.
- KSC tallied three goals, nearly as many as they recorded across their seven games combined as the Owls entered the contest with four goals in the season.
