BOSTON, Mass. – After the Nor'easter pushed back Saturday's matchup to Tuesday at noon, the Keene State College men's soccer team opened the contest at the University of Massachusetts Boston to a scoreless first half but after allowing three second half goals, the Owls were defeated 3-1 by the Beacons.

How It Happened
The Beacons applied the pressure early as they recorded seven shots over the opening 19 minutes of the contest, but Tommaso Lorrai held strong in net for the Owls by saving the three of the seven shots that were on target. KSC recorded their first three shots of the contest over the next eight minutes but none of the opportunities were on frame. In the 28th minute the Beacons had another opportunity on frame but Lorrai made his fourth save of the opening half to keep UMB off the board. The Owls had a pair of shots the rest of the first half but JJ Devine saved the one shot on frame from Jack Corby as the teams went into the second half tied 0-0.
UMB got onto the board 94 seconds into the second half as Lorrai made an initial save resulting in a corner for the Beacons before Cam Ramos found the back of the net for the opening goal. It didn't take long for the Owls to respond as 1:22 later Pierpaolo Galadro assisted Luke Belisle on the equalizer with 42:04 left to play. Lorrai bounced back by saving the next three shots he saw in goal for the Owls, but after being unable to secure the third shot, Ryan Doherty put the rebound into the back of the net with 25:38 remaining to give the Beacons a 2-1 lead. UMB continued to apply the pressure with another three shots but none were on target until each team traded a shot on goal, which was saved by the opposing goalie in the 78th and 79th minute. The remainder of the contest Lorrai tacked on another save before UMB added an insurance goal in the 86th minute and the Beacons held on to defeat the Owls 3-1.

- Lorrai made nine saves in the contest, a new collegiate game high and nearly as many saves as his first 360:00 minutes in net to date combined (10 saves).

- UMB had the advantage on shots, 22-7, shots on goal, 12-3, and on corner kicks 7-1.
