A standout from the earliest days of Keene State men's lacrosse, Bob Bonnes played for the Owls from 1998-2000, playing three seasons at the varsity level because the college did not sponsor it his freshman year.

Bonnes took the field for the Owls at the programs' infancy, scoring a record eight goals in the Owls' first ever win over the University of New England.   While the Little East Conference did not begin sponsoring men's lacrosse until 2001, Bonnes and the Owls played in the Pilgrim League, which would set the stage for the Owls' first LEC Championship win 2005.

Bonnes still ranks in the top 15 in school history in points (203), goals (152), and assists (51), as well as in the top 10 in single season records with 59 goals and 78 points in 1999,  as well as his 50 goal output in 1998.
