An outstanding distance runner, Bridgewater was a two-time All-American in cross country and a five-time All-American in track and field.
Bridgewater led the Owls to four consecutive Little East Conference championships in cross country from 2001-2004, winning the LEC Individual title in 2003 and 2004, and was a four-time All-LEC honoree.
Reaching the NCAA Championships in each of his four years, Bridgewater earned All-America honors with a 23rd place finish nationally in 2003, and repeated the honor in 2004 by finishing 25th.
In track and field, Bridgewater won a combined 10 LEC individual championships, taking the indoor 600 meters from 2003-2005, the 1,000 meters from 2003-05, and the 1,500 meters in 2004. Outdoors, Bridgewater won the 800 meters (2005), as well as the 1,500 (2002, 2004).
Bridgewater earned All-America honors three times in indoor track, twice in the distance medley relay (2003, 2005), as well as in the mile in 2004. Outdoors, he added another two All-America honors in the 1,500 meters (2004) and the mile (2005), and was named the Keene State Male Athlete of the Year that year. Bridgewater is part of the school record holding distance medley relay team that still stands nearly 20 years later, at 9:57, and is also part of the school record in the 4x800 meter relay at 7:43.20 from 2004.
