Keene State College Athletics/Alumni Hall of Fame
Rick Scott is synonymous with soccer not only at Keene State College, but in Cheshire County and the state of New Hampshire. Scott was a four year starter at KSC and graduated in 1977 after serving in the Vietnam War. While a student, he served as the Claremont Middle School coach and founded the Claremont Youth Soccer Club. Scott served as team captain as a junior and senior, and was an All-Conference player in 1975 and 1976, and was All-New England as a junior. Scott recently became just the third collegiate coach to be inducted into the New Hampshire Coaches Soccer Hall of Fame. Scott was the Owls' head coach from 2014-2021, where he had a record of 66-53-12 (.549). Prior to taking the head coaching position at KSC, Scott was a mainstay in the program, serving for 19 years as the Associate Head Coach and working alongside legendary KSC bench boss Dr. Ron Butcher. Scott is the first individual to enter the Hall of Fame for his exploits as a contributor, player, and coach.
