KEENE, N.H.. 10/18/01 - The Keene State women's soccer team
shutout Umas-Boston 7-0 in a Little East Conference game Thursday
at Owl Stadium Complex.
It was the final home regular season game for KSC (14-4, 4-2
LEC). UMA-Boston falls to 0-15 (0-6 LEC).
Jessica Williams (Nashua, NH), Katie Irwin (Windham, NH), and
Celena Chickering (Keene, NH) scored first half goals for the Owls.
Colleen Antonini, Lauren Dayne, Lindsay Monroe, and Melissa
Bergeron (Claremont, NH) scored in the second half. It was then
first goals of the season for Dayne, Irwin, and Monroe.
Keene State had a 46-0 shot advantage.
Michelle Mason, who didn't make a save, collected her ninth
shutout of the season. Kristen Bowes stopped 20 shots for the
Beacons. Seniors Irwin, Williams and Chickering, were honored prior
to the start of the game.
Keene State wraps up its regular season on the road at
UMA-Dartmouth on Saturday (1 p.m.).
