WORCESTER, MA. 10/4/01 - Suzanne Heinkel's (Westfield, N.J.) goal at the 29:40 mark of the first half stood up as the game-winner in Keene State College's 1-0 shutout victory over host Worcester State College on Thursday.

Taking a lead pass form Sarah Nordle (Hooksett, N.H.), Heinkel broke in alone and fired the ball past Lancer goalie Rebecca Towne for the only goal of the game. It was Heinkel's fourth goal of the season. Keene State dominated play with a 25-3 shot advantage. 'Once again we hit the ball around very well, but we just couldn't find the back of the net,' said KSC Coach Denise Lyons.

Michelle Mason (Fairport, NY) had just one save for her fifth shutout of the season. Towne stopped eight shots for Worcester State (4-4).

Keene State, which improved to 10-3, host LEC rival Plymouth State on Saturday (1 p.m.).
