'Springfield, MA. 9/11/02 - Casey Banks (Westborough, MA.) and Jason Lombardo (Woburn, MA.) scored two goals each to lead the Keene State College men's soccer team to a 5-1 non-conference victory over Springfield College at Brock-Affleck Field on Wednesday.

Banks and Lombardo first two goals staked KSC to a 2-0 first half lead.  In addition to their second half goals, freshman Mike Lewis (Manchester, CT) netted his first collegiate tally.

D.J. Nordmark (So. Windsor, CT) made two saves for the Owls. Freshman Jason Sturgeon, who played the final three minutes, gave up the Springfield goal to the Pride's Mark Buschini.

'It took us awhile to crank it up, ' said KSC Coach Ron Butcher, whose team played the game on a windy Brock-Affleck Field.' I thought we played pretty well in the second half.'

KSC hosts Wheaton College in a key regional contest on Saturday (1 p.m.).
