'KEENE, N.H. 4/13/03– The Keene State College baseball
team swept a non-conference doubleheader (5-4 and 18-4) against
Endicott College on Sunday.
Trailing 4-3 in the sixth inning of the seven-inning game, the
Owl scored two runs on a perfectly executed suicide squeeze bunt by
Matt Orszulak (Campton, N.H.). Orszulak's bunt brought home
the tying run and Jeremy Schilling (Centerville, MA.) scored the
game-winner on an errant throw.
Patrick Austin (Wallingford, CT) got the win and Corey Hartson
(Merrimack, N.H.), who pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning, picked up
the save.
Travis Muckle (Bennington, Vt.) went three-for-three at the
plate. John Maryanski (Nashua, N.H.) had two hits and two
RBIs.
In the second game, four Owls had two hits apiece, highlighted
by Eric Kilburn's 2-for-5 effort that included a bases-clearing
triple.
Ryan Kohler (Alstead, N.H.) who pitched the first four innings
got credit for the win. He is now 2-2 this season. Austin,
Justin Hickman (Mont Vernon, N.H.) and Bob Reilly (Cortlandt Manor,
N.Y.) also had two hits.
