'KEENE, N.H. 4/24/03 – Keene State College dropped a
11-1 non-conference baseball game to Westfield State College at Owl
Stadium Complex on Thursday. KSC falls to 9-16 while WSC goes to
11-11-1.
Keene State's lone run came in the seventh inning. With
one out John Maryanski (Nashua, N.H.) singled and moved to third on
a double by Brian Dimitruk (Columbus, N.J.) Maryanski scored on a
fielder's choice ground out by Bobby Reilly (Cortlandt Manor,
N.Y.).
Mike Carney (Feeding Hills, MA.) led the Westfield State attack
with three hits and four RBIs. Nate Chase (Bourne, MA.) also
had three hits in the game.
KSC starter Corey Bell (Swanzey, N.H.) (1-2) took the loss for
the Owls. Tom Cousineau (Worcester, MA.) (3-1) picked up the win
for Westfield State.
Keene State hosts Eastern CT in a LEC doubleheader on Friday (11
a.m.)
