'WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. 4/30/03–The Owls erupted for five
runs in the fourth, but couldn't hang on to a 5-1 lead against the
Ephmen.
Williams chipped away with runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh
innings and the rallies included a solo home run by Chesterfield's
Jabe Bergeron (1-for-5) in the fifth. Bergeron scored the game-
winning run in the seventh after reach ing on an error.
KSC (11-19) used the game to set up its stretch run leading into
the Little East Conference six-team, double-elimi nation tournament
that starts next Wednesday. Jim Slack, Pat Austin, Ryan Kohler and
Corey Hartson all pitched three innings or less.
In the five-run fourth, Justin Hick man hit a three-run homer
while John Trubiano, Eric Kilburn, Tim Kendrick and Matt Orszulak
all had hits.
The Owls finish up their regular season with a double-header
Saturday at UMass-Dartmouth.
