BOSTON, MASS. 10/4/04- Keene State College women's soccer team
saw eight different players score, en route to a 9-0 Little East
Conference victory over UMass-Boston at Clark Athletic Center on
Monday. Amber-Lynn Lyman (Hinesburg, Vt.) had two goals to lead the
Keene State. The game was a make-up contest originally scheduled
for Sept. 18.
Katie Stevens (Londonderry, N.H.) scored just 38 seconds into
the game. Lyman scored her two goals to build the Owls' lead to 3-0
at the break.
Courtney Gately (Canton, Mass.), Breanne Lucey (Keene, N.H.),
Tara Wagner (Avon, Conn.), Alyson Beadle (East Hartford, Conn.) and
Missy Mengual (East Berlin, Conn.) added second half goals. It was
the first college goal for both Beadle and Mengual, a junior
defender.
Michelle Mason (Fairport, N.Y.) didn't have to make a save to
record her fourth shutout of the season. Kurstin Meehan (Edgertown,
Mass.)finished with seven saves for the Beacons (2-6, 0-3 LEC).
KSC (6-3-1, 2-0-1 LEC) host Worcester State in a non-conference
game on Wednesday ( 7p.m.).
