'TAMPA, FLA.  3/17/04 - Rick Stromgren (Keene, N.H.) and Corey Bell (Swanzey, N.H.) both tossed complete game seven inning wins to lead the Keene State College baseball team to a doubleheader sweep over Hamilton College (6-1 and 8-3) in Tampa on Wednesday.

Stromgren, a freshman, gave up just one unearned run and one hit while striking out 11 and walking two batters to notch his first college win in the opener.

The Owls took a 3-0 lead in the third on a pair of Hamilton errors and an RBI single by Justin Hickman (Mont Vernon, N.H.).  They added one more run in fourth on a Matt Orszylak (Campton, N.H.), sacrifice fly.  KSC completed its scoring with two more runs in the fifth.  Hickman had a RBI double and John Grainger (Keene, N.H.) added a sacrifice fly.

Jeremy Schilling (Centerville, Mass.) also had a couple of hits in the game.

Bell scattered eight hits and fanned seven and walked two to pick up his first win of the season in the second game.

KSC went up for good with a four run fourth inning that featured RBI hits off the bats of Tim Kendrick (Middletown, R.I.) and Craig Bryer (Plymouth, Mass.).

Bill Green (Montgomery, N.Y.), who went three-for-three, hit his first home run of the season in a two-run fifth inning.
