'STANDISH, ME. 4/18/04 - The Keene State College baseball team
split a non-conference doubleheader (5-4 and 4-5) against St.
Joseph's College (Me.) on Sunday.
KSC started out strong in the first inning of game one with an
RBI double from Justin Hickman (Mont Vernon, N.H.), followed by a
homerun from Bill Green (Montgomery, N.Y.). It was Green's
second homer of the season.
Ryan Kohler (Alstead, N.H.), who pitched the first four innings,
got credit for the win. He scattered six hits, fanned five,
and walked three.
In the second game, Jeremy Schilling (Centerville, Mass.) and
Mike Masseur (Warwick, R.I.) went 2-for-3 to lead KSC. Matt
Orszulak (Campton, N.H.) had a hit and two RBIs and Peter Hall
(Danielson, Conn.) added an RBI single.
Pat Austin (Wallingford, Conn.) took the loss for KSC. He
is now 0-2 this season.
KSC will travel to Plymouth State University for a Little East
Conference single game on Wednesday (3 p.m.).
