'KEENE, N.H. 4/25/04 - Keene State College dropped a 6-3
non-conference baseball game to Endicott College at Owl Athletic
Complex on Sunday.
KSC falls to 12-14-1 while Endicott improves to 21-18.
Endicott jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first on RBI hit from
Matt Bishop (Woburn, Mass.) and a two run single from Jon Trowt
(Beverly, Mass.).
The Owls got one run back in the third on Justin Hickman's (Mont
Vernon, N.H.) RBI double.
In the seventh, Peter Norke (Wallingford, Conn.) put the Gulls
ahead 4-1with a run producing double.
Falling behind 6-1, KSC made things interesting in the
ninth. Two runs came in on a fielder's choice and
error. The Owls rally ended with runners on first and
third.
Matt Orszulak (Campton, N.H.) and Greg Preston (Bow, N.H.) had
two hits each for the Owls.
Making his first start of the season, Jason Shea (Hatfield,
Mass.) (six strikeouts) took the loss for the Owls. Chris
Serrano (Stoneham, Mass.) picked up the win for the Gulls.
Keene State returns to Owl Complex tomorrow for a key Little
East doubleheader against UMass-Boston at noon.
