'KEENE, N.H. 4/27/04 - Amherst College erupted for 12 in the
sixth inning on the way to handing Keene State College a 18-4 loss
in a non-conference baseball game played Tuesday in Keene.
Josh Santry (Allendale, N.J.) had a three-run blast, and Zach
Schonberger (Rye, N.Y.) had a solo shot in the uprising for the
Lord Jeffs (12-13). Eleven of Amherst's 12 runs in the inning were
unearned.
Justin Hickman (Mont Vernon, N.H.) had a three-run home run, his
third of the season, that put the Owls up 3-2 in the bottom of the
third.
Mike Corsano (Corlandt Manor, N.Y.) took the loss for KSC
(12-15-1). He is now 1-1 this season. Nick Kehoe (Washington Depot,
Conn.) (2-1) got the win for Amherst.
Keene State returns to Owl Athletic Complex on Wednesday for a
key Little East doubleheader against UMass-Boston (12 p.m.).
