'WESTFIELD - Junior Katie Stevens (Londonberry, NH) scored midway thru the first half as the Keene State Owls survived an upset bid by the Westfield State Owls for a 1-0 women's soccer victory Sept. 15.

Keene, ranked in the top 10 in New England Division III, improved to 4-0-1. The New Hampshire Owls entered the game with 18 goals in its first three victories, including 7-1 and 6-0 routs of Framingham State and WNEC, respectively.

Assisting on the game-winning goal was Keene native Breanne Lucey.

Keene outshot Westfield (1-3), 20-11. Westfield junior goalie Jen Cyr (Worthington/Gateway Regional) registered 16 saves, while Sarah Campbell (Auburn, Mass.) stopped four shots for KSC.
