'DANBURY, CONN. . 9/17/05 - Breanne Lucey's (Keene, N.H.) goal at the 75:45 mark of the second half enabled Keene State College to tie Western Connecticut State University 1-1 in  Little East Conference women's soccer action in Danbury Conn. on Saturday.  It was the conference-opener for both teams.

After a scoreless first half, WCSU took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Jessica Gomes at the 73:24 mark.  Lucey tied the game two minutes later when her shot from 25-yards out trickled into the net. It was Lucey's third goal of the season.

Western Conn. outshot KSC 16-8 in the game.

Sarah Campbell (Auburn, Mass.) finished with seven saves for KSC (4-0-2, 0-0-1 LEC) while Jenna Cappellieri had three saves for the Colonials (4-1-1, 0-0-1 LEC).

Keene State hosts Middlebury College on Wednesday (5 p.m.).
