'KEENE, N.H. 9/14/06 - Molly Brunelle (Walpole, N.H.) and
Michelle Boland (Worcester, Mass.) had a goal and an assist each to
lead the Keene State College Owls to a 5-1 victory over the
Westfield State Owls in non-conference women's soccer action at Owl
Athletic Complex on Thursday.
Tara Wagner (Avon, Conn.) gave Keene State an early 1-0 lead
when she broke in alone for her third goal of the season.
Kendra Spencer (Petoskey, Mich.) extended KSC's lead when she fired
in a shot from the top of the box. It was her second goal of the
season.
Keene State added three second half goals. Molly Brunelle
(Walpole, N.H.) scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season
just 15 seconds into the half. Jessica Pepin (Bow, N.H.) made it a
4-0 game when WSC goalie Natalie Araszkiewicz mishandled her
penalty kick. Michelle Boland (Worcester, Mass.) added a goal later
in the half.
Katelyn McMillan (Belchertown, Mass.) spoiled KSC's
shutout bid with a goal at the 57:44 mark of the half.
Liz Rosen (Swanzey, N.H.) made one save to pick up the win in
goal.
Araszkiewicz (seven saves) and Andrea Knowles (1 save) saw
action in goal for WSC (2-3).
KSC (4-2) begins LEC play on Saturday when it hosts nationally
ranked Western Conn. (1 p.m.).
