SOMERVILLE, MASS 10/17/07 - The Keene State women's soccer team
dropped a 5-0 non-conference game on the road at Tufts University
on Wednesday afternoon.
Keene State falls to 8-7-1. Tufts improves to 10-2.
Cara Cadigan had two goals and sophomores Fanna Gamal (Albany, CA)
had three assists, and Ali Maxwell (Exeter,NH) finiedh with a goal
and two assists for the Jumbos.
The Tufts defense did not allow the Owls a quality scoring chance.
Jumbo goalkeepers Kate Minnehan (Hopkinton, NH) and Hannah Jacobs
(Mill Valley, CA) split the squad's sixth shutout of the season.
Minnehan made one save in the first half and Jacobs had five when
Keene applied more pressure in the second half.
Ashley Molloy (Manchester, NH) stopped five shots in the Owls'
cage, while senior Kathleen Keniston (Minneapolis, MN) paced the
offense with four shots.
Keene State hosts UMass-Boston in its final home regular season
game of the season on Saturday.
