Providence, RI 10/11/08 - After giving up the first goal
of the game, the Keene State women's soccer team came back to
scored four unanswered goals to post a 4-1 Little East Conference
victory over host R.I. College on Saturday.
Keene State stops a two-game losing skid, while improving to
10-4 overall and 3-1 in the Little East. The Anchorwomen fall to
1-12-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the league.
Trailing 1-0, the Owls netted the equalizer in the 22nd
minute as sophomore forward Katie Bradford's
(Lebanon, NH) free kick from 20 yards out was re-directed by junior
defender Jaclyn Grant (Newington, CT) for her
first tally of the year.

Karamourtopoulos (Freemont, NH) headed in junior
midfielder Kendra Spencer's (Petoskey, MI) corner
kick in the 65th minute to put the Owls ahead 2-1.
Karamourtopoulos goal seemed to set the Anchorwomen back a bit
and Keene State took advantage. Freshman midfielder Tara
Nathan (Bethel, CT) punched in an insurance goal, her
second of the season, in the 85th minute, and freshman forward
Samantha Jo Saltalamaccia (Sandown, NH) banged
home her first collegiate marker with 25 seconds left in the game.

Hirsh (Holliston, MA) made six saves as her personal mark
goes to 6-1. RIC sophomore netminder Maddie Pirri (Bristol, RI)
made nine saves as her record falls to 1-12-1.
Keene State will host Tufts on Tuesday.
