On the mound, freshman Tim Thiesing (South Grafton, Mass.) picked up his first college pitching win. Thiesing went the first five innings, giving up two runs and scattering nine hits. The Owls (14-10) jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and never looked back.  Jeff Perkins (Dunbarton, N.H.) , who scored three runs, led off the inning with a triple can came home on a RBI double by Jamie Chevalier (Amherst, N.H.).  Doyon knocked in Chevalier with a single and Callahan capped the inning with a two-run home run, his team-leading eighth round tripper of the season.

A two-run single in the fourth by Doyon put the Owls up 6-0.

Keene State batted around and scored seven more run in the fifth.  Keith Patnode (Keene, N.H.), Doyon, Callahan and Larry Longo (Londonderry, N.H.) each had run-producing hits.

Anthony Cipolla (Glastonbury, Con.) also had three hits in KSC's 16 hit attack.  Doyon's five RBIs gives him 40 on the season.

Brad King and Ben Campbell each had three hits for WSC (14-12).

The Owls, who are UMass-Boston on Friday, play five games in the next three days.  "At this stage of the season, all the games are important," said KSC Coach Ken Howe.  "Everyone is scrambling for positioning in the post-season tournament."
