MILTON, MASS. 4/24/12 – Senior Kyle Morrill (Auburn, N.H.) went four-for five with a home run and four RBIs and sophomore Matt Boulay (Stafford Springs, Conn.) knocked in a career high four runs to lead Keene State College to a 19-2 romp over Curry College in a seven-inning non-conference baseball game played Tuesday afternoon in Milton, Mass.

            Keene State (26-9), which earlier in the day made its first appearance in the American Baseball Coaches' poll at the 25th spot, extends its winning streak to five games. Curry drops to 13-19.

            The Owls, who scored at least one run in every innings, didn't waste any time getting on the board, putting up three runs in the first on senior Larry Longo's (Londonderry, N.H.) three-run home run, his team-leading sixth dinger of the season.

            Junior Greg Bates (Salem, N.H.) had an RBI single and Morrill brought in another run in with a double as Keene State went up 5-0 in the second inning. 

            KSC scored two more run in the third with freshman Tyler Estevez (East Hartford, Conn.) coming through with a RBI single. 

            Morrill had a solo home run to left center in the fourth and senior Erik Bergstrom (Enfield, Conn.) added a two-run double in the fifth. 

            Boulay did most of his damage in the late innings, bringing in two runs with a double in the sixth and hitting a two-run single in the seventh.  Morrill completed his fine day at the dish with a two-run double to center in the seventh.  "I've been hitting the ball well the last couple of games and it carried over into today's game," said Morrill.  "These games have been traps for us, so it was good to get the win against Curry."

            Bates continued to swing a hot bat with three hits at the top of the Owls' line-up while Bergstrom, Estevez, and Boulay each had a couple of hits in KSC's 19-hit attack.

            Junior pitcher Chris Crutcher (Londonderry, N.H.) was the recipient of the offensive support, improving his record to 6-1.  He tossed one hit ball over the first four innings with three strikeouts.  Junior John Coughlin (Litchfield, N.H.) and senior Kyle O'Brien (Springfield, N.H.) followed Crutcher to the mound.

            The Owls are off until Saturday when they host Southern Maine in a key Little East Conference doubleheader (12 p.m.).
