Men's Soccer Shutout By UMass Dartmouth

KEENE, N.H.--Three first half goals gave UMass Dartmouth a 3-0 win over Keene State College in Little East Conference men's soccer action on Saturday at Owl Athletic Complex.

The Corsairs improve to 7-5-1, and 2-2-1 in the LEC, while the Owls drop to 4-8, and 1-4 in conference.  

Just 12 minutes into the game, the Corsairs were ahead as Stephan Teixeira scored from Wilfred Ghanyea's pass, and two minutes later, the lead was doubled through Matt Vidal.

Teixeira got his second of the game in the 32nd minute.

Luis Carranza started and made four saves before leaving with an injury for UMass Dartmouth; Andre Reis played the final 11:11 and made two stops.

Justin Carnevale played the first half for Keene State, while Mark Keller played the whole of the second half; neither were required to make a save as KSC outshot the Corsairs 18-7, including 10-0 in the second half.'

Keene State hosts defending national champion Tufts University on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.  That same evening, UMass Dartmouth will head to Bridgewater State for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
