Box Score KEENE, N.H.--The Keene State College women's soccer team outshot Framingham State University 30-1 in a 4-0 win in non-conference action at Owl Athletic Complex on Wednesday night.
Keene State scored as many goals in this game as they had all season combined, improving their record to 2-2-1. The Rams fall to 3-2.
The Owls took the lead in 20th minute as Patricia Norton beared down on goal and was taken down by Rams' goalie Sara Sullivan. Kali Santino scored the ensuing penalty kick, her second successful spot kick of the season to put the Owls in front.
KSC could have had a wider lead at halftime, as Chloe Loos unleashed an effort from 35 yards out that was tipped on to the crossbar, and the rebound effort from Shannon Summers was saved.
The Owls did double the lead in the 58th minute; following a corner kick, Jennifer Wilson sent in a ball that freshman Tyrah Urie powered into the roof of the net for her first collegiate marker.
Keene State continued to press, as Stephanie Spitz, Summers, and Brittany Tolla all had shots on net. Two goals in the final five minutes wrapped up the win - Norton played in Taylor Farland to score from close range in the 86th minute, and less than a minute later, Katie Silegy tapped in her own rebound to make it 4-0.
Danielle Warhall notched her second consecutive shutout without making a save. Sullivan started and played 28:44, making one save before departing with an injury. Substitute goalie Keyonzia Gagne-Lamoureux played the final 61:16 and made 12 stops.
The Owls open Little East Conference play with a home date against the University of Southern Maine on September 19 at 1 p.m. at Owl Athletic Complex. Framingham State hosts Fitchburg State in a MASCAC game that begins at 7 p.m. on the same date.
