Women's Soccer Picks Up Third Straight Win

Box Score

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Patricia Norton scored a pair of goals to give the Keene State College women's soccer team a 3-0 win over host Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday night in non-conference action.

Taylor Farland had a goal and an assist, and Danielle Warhall made six saves as KSC improved to 4-2-1 this season.  The Wildcats fall to 3-5.

Norton put the Owls ahead in the 11th minute with a goal that she weaved her way through the box before scoring from eight yards out.

Farland doubled the lead in the 28th minute, scoring her fifth of the season after rounding the keeper.  Norton made sure of the result with 16 minutes left in the game off Farland's pass.

Warhall earned her fourth consecutive shutout, making a key stop on Alex Place in the 66th minute when the game was still 2-0.  The junior made another stop on Gabriella Weithofer in the 82nd minute to preserve the shutout.

The Owls return to Little East Conference play when they travel to Plymouth State on Saturday, September 26, for a 1 p.m. start.  Johnson & Wales heads to Mount Ida College for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game that begins at 3 p.m.
