Box Score KEENE, N.H.--Sierra Trzepacz scored her first collegiate goal with 15 minutes remaining to lead the Keene State College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Endicott College in stifling heat at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
It was the first collegiate goal for Trzepacz. Keene State is now 1-1 on the season, while Endicott falls to 1-1.
The Owls made the breakthrough when Jen Wilson's ball over the top of the defense found the feet of Trzepacz, who slammed home from six yards out to make the breakthrough.
Danielle Warhall picked up the shutout with three saves, none of which was more critical than the one she made on Taylor O'Donnell, diving to her left just 30 seconds after KSC had scored.
The game was 0-0 at the break, as both teams struggled to find an advantage in the heat. KSC began to drive in front in the second half, with Patricia Norton stinging the palms of Endicott goalie Kristin Hartlage five minutes into the second half.
KSC outshot Endicott 9-7, while the Gulls held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Owls will wrap up their season opening three game homestand by hosting Lasell on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. Endicott hosts Babson on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
