How It Happened

Keene State opened the scoring just 2:27 into the game, as senior William Salta collected a pass from senior Promise Kpee and ripped off a shot from 25 yards out over an outstretched Lancers' goaltender Jared Barrett for a 1-0 edge. The Owls continued to hold possession through the remainder of the first stanza, as efforts from the Keene State defense held Worcester State to only two shots.

The Lancers evened the score at one at the 53:26 mark, when Obed Boaten sent a pass in the left corner to Bryan Brasil, from where Brasil then crossed the ball into the box. Boateng found a deflection off a defender and sliced the ball past Owls' senior goalkeeper Jason Smith. Keene State found the game-winning goal in the 66th minute, when sophomore Donovan Harris set up junior Samuel Binogono from the right side to push the Owls to a one-point lead. Keene State held onto the advantage as time expired, as the Owls did not allow Worcester State to get a shot off.
