The lead ballooned to 7-0 in the seventh before the Owls brokeup the shutout.  With two outs,

Josh Andrade singled to left to bring him home before getting thrown out at second base to end the inning.
RIC added three more runs to make it 10-3 in the eighth, but the Owls pulled two back, loading the bases on singles by Collins and Eaton before
Josh Beayon was hit by a pitch. Bases loaded walks to
Colin McKeon and
Trent Mayer forced home two runs.
Andrew Sears (2-2) notched the win for the Anchormen, striking out eight in six innings and scattering three hits.Â
Patrick McKeighan (0-2) was handed the loss, giving up eight hits in 3 2/3 innings. Â

Jameson Pare combined to through the 5 1/3 innings of the game.
How it Happened - Game Two
Keene State was limited to one hit in the nightcap, as four RIC pitchers combined to strikeout 12 batters in eight innings.  RIC starter Mike Belcher, in his first appearance of the season, notched seven strikeouts in the first four innings.
The Anchormen jumped on KSC starter
Josh Beayon in the third inning, sending 11 batters to the plate and scoring six times. Rommy Morel reached twice in the frame, leading off the inning by getting hit by a pitch and doubling in two runs as the penultimate batter. In between, the Anchormen received an RBI from Parillo and also scored separate runs on a wild pitch and passed ball.
Down 9-0 heading into the fifth, McKeon got the Owls' lone hit of the game with a single up the middle, and moved to second on
Jacob Laskosky's walk, but Andrade fouled out to end the inning. Â
The teams traded scoreless innings until the eighth, before the Anchormen added another run in the eighth and the Owls went down in order after another walk to Laskosky opened the inning.
Carlos Pena (2-0) tossed scoreless innings to pick up the win. Beayon (0-1) took the loss, allowing four hits and seven earned runs in three innings.Â
Alex Koletar and
Zach Corrado both saw time out of the bullpen.
Around the Horn
- With the loss, KSC was officially eliminated from contention from a berth in the Little East Conference tournament. At 2-11 in the league, KSC is 3.5 games behind sixth placed Castleton University (6-10 in the LEC) with just three games to play.
- Beayon is currently batting .327 - if his average holds at that mark or better for the rest of the season, it will be the highest batting average by a KSC player in a full season since Connor Longley hit .395 in the 2017 season. Â
- Corrado, making his fourth appearance of the season, lowered his ERA to a team best 2.89.
