How it Happened
Three goals in a four minute span in the first half were all Amherst needed to put the game away. Ruby Hastie opened the scoring in the 20th minute, then set up goals by Natalie Landau and Abby Schwartz just 60 seconds apart to make it 3-0.
It would remain 3-0 until halftime; Amherst added five more goals in the second half as Landau scored three more, in the 51st, 55th, and 57th minutes, and Patience Kum (79th) and Ally Deegan (89th) completed the scoring.
Abbie Terrinca made a season high 14 saves in net for the Owls; counterpart Mika Fischer was not called upon to make a stop.
