Taking a centering pass from Smith, Tanya Strong (Hatfield, Mass.) scored the final Owls goal, her 11th this season, when she tipped the ball past Lyon goalie Elizabeth Wishart. It was a special night for the KSC seniors. "We came out really intense and each one of us played for a minute, " said Smith, who earlier was named LEC Player of the Year for the second straight season. "To walk off with a win was a great feeling."
Goalie Lindsay Hamilton (Brattleboro, Vt.), who had five saves, lost her shutout when Amy Gimbel scored off a corner after time expired. Wishart finished with 12 saves for Mount Holyoke.
